DigiSource's customer is 1Laser, a manufacturing company specializing in providing laser engraving machines in the US and Canadian markets, headquartered in the United States, looking to recruit for the position: The Shopify Frontend Developer
The Shopify Frontend Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging and responsive user interfaces for our Shopify website. This role requires a creative and detail-oriented developer with strong expertise in frontend technologies and a passion for delivering high-quality web experiences.
a/ Shopify Theme Customization:
- Tailor and build Shopify themes according to design and functional requirements, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing online store.
- Utilize Shopify’s Liquid template language, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to implement custom features, functionalities, and integrations.
- Collaborate with designers to transform design concepts into fully functional and responsive Shopify pages.
b/ User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Optimization:
- Optimize the Shopify storefront for speed, performance, and responsiveness across all devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile).
- Improve the user experience by applying UX best practices, including intuitive navigation, fast-loading pages, and effective calls-to-action (CTAs).
- Continuously monitor and enhance the user interface based on user feedback, A/B testing, and data-driven insights.
c/ Integration and Automation:
- Integrate third-party applications, plugins, and APIs to expand the Shopify store's functionality and automate processes when possible.
- Ensure seamless integration of e-commerce tools such as payment gateways, inventory management systems, and analytics platforms.
d/ Bug Fixing and Troubleshooting:
- Quickly identify and resolve frontend issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks to guarantee a smooth shopping experience for customers.
- Conduct regular site audits to ensure the Shopify store stays compliant with the latest web standards and best practices.
e/ Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with backend development, design, and marketing teams to align all aspects of the Shopify store with business goals and brand guidelines.
- Participate in project planning and provide technical input on frontend development tasks and timelines.
f/ Performance Optimization:
- Implement best practices to optimize website performance, speed, efficiency, and accessibility.
g/ Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with backend developers, designers, the SEO team, and other stakeholders to seamlessly integrate frontend elements with backend systems, Shopify apps, and APIs.
h/ Quality Assurance:
Perform thorough testing of website features to guarantee they meet quality standards and functional requirements.
i/ Agile Development:
React quickly to deliver promotions and holiday events within tight deadlines.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in frontend web development, with at least 2 years of specific Shopify experience.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a strong understanding of modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React.js, Angular, Vue.js).
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development.
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques and tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in English; Chinese speaking is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- On-page SEO knowledge (minimum 2 years of experience)
- Experience with website content management systems (CMS).
- Knowledge of the laser engraving industry or related technical fields.
