Position Title: Sales Manager

Type: Full Time

Reporting to: General Manager and Project Director

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

 

Sunrise Events Vietnam (SEV) is recruiting a Sales Manager to develop and execute the sales strategy for the SEV portfolio, which includes up to 8 calendar events, focusing on ticket sales and event registration. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of event sales strategy and understand how to communicate with and leverage a wider team, including marketing, design, accounting, and operations departments, to meet the targets. Individuals with a pre-existing sales network, particularly in sports event sales, will have a big advantage.

 

Key Responsibilities:

● Initiate, cultivate, and maintain key corporate/business relationships to facilitate the expansion of SEV events.

● Work closely with the Operations and Marketing teams to manage senior and secondary relationships leading up to and during event week. This includes sponsors, exhibitors, and government authorities.

● Provide effective and timely service to all clients assigned and manage each relationship professionally and profitably.

● Negotiate terms and contracts with key partners.

● Communicate progress, client/event feedback, and results of business development activities internally as requested.

● Proof all materials prepared by creative, media, studio, print shop, and production before presenting them to sponsors/partners and ensuring other account executives maintain high standards of attention to detail.

● Stay informed on the latest industry trends and best practices and share with team members where appropriate.

● Evaluate the quality of relevant SEV suppliers and recommend changes where appropriate.

● Be alert to potential problems and opportunities impacting SEV events, project budgets, sponsors, and partners.

● Be cost-conscious and recommend and implement cost-control measures where appropriate.

● Manage creative, media, and other suppliers and drive them to do their best for our sponsors/partners.

● Support the Project Coordinator to ensure all project’ tasks are executed professionally.

● Perform additional tasks that may be requested by the Manager.

Job Requirement

Experience/Requirements:

● A bachelor’s degree in a related field (events management, hospitality, communications, marketing, finance, behavioral science, sports management) or similar striking life experience is required.

● 5+ years prior experience in event sales (preferred), service sales, or marketing agency.

● Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of resources.

● Willing to work evenings and weekends during events.

● Be able to lead a team and manage staff training issues.

● Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to negotiate.

● Data-driven decision-making skills.

● Exceptional writing & communication skills.
