DigiSource's client is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a highly motivated and mathematically inclined individual to join our creative team as a Game Designer Intern. This role will provide hands-on experience in the design and development of engaging slot games, with a strong focus on understanding the mathematical foundations that drive successful gameplay. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for games, a foundational curiosity about game design, and strong mathematical aptitude. This internship is a fantastic stepping stone for someone eager to learn and contribute to the dynamic world of slot game development.Responsibilities:
- Assist senior game designers in researching and analyzing existing slot game mechanics and features.
- Learn and apply basic mathematical principles to understand game balance and probability in slot games.
- Support the development of mathematical models and simulations under the guidance of senior designers.
- Contribute to the creation of basic game design documentation, such as feature outlines and paytable drafts.
- Collaborate with the team to provide feedback on game concepts and prototypes.
- Learn to use relevant software and tools for game design and analysis (e.g., Excel/Google Sheets).
- Stay updated on current trends and popular mechanics within the slot game industry.
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks as required by the game design team.

quirements:
- Passion for games and a strong interest in game design, particularly within the casino/slot game genre.
- Basic understanding of game mechanics, game loops, and player psychology.
- Good mathematical skills, including a basic understanding of probability and statistics.
- Strong English communication (both written and verbal) and a willingness to learn.
- Critical thinking and a curious mindset.
- Familiarity with any game engine (Cocos, Unity, Unreal, etc.) or design tools is a plus.
- Basic proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team.
- Proactive and eager to learn about game design principles.
